| I'm a mechanical engineer with a passion for anything automotive. Autocrossing, rally racing, road racing, drag racing, and off roading are just a few of the things I'm into. I set out to build this car after finishing a V8 powered Mazda RX7 and seeing cars like the Ariel Atom and KTM X-bow. Beautiful cars, they capitalize on high power to weight ratios with ultra light frames and bodies, negating the need for engines with excessive horsepower. I decided to build something along those lines, but to make it front engined, and to use an American all aluminum V8 instead. Past projects include:
-'84 Mazda Rx7 with 5.0L Chevy V8
-Homebuilt digital projector and 88" screen (you sit only a few feet away, it's actually better than the theater)
-BEAM crab, using a twin solarengine setup of my own design
-Refurbished a junk I-robot Roomba and more I'll get to later! |
